The summer months June, July and August are characterized by
high levels of UV radiation on unclouded days. On the 21st of June the sun reaches
a height above the horizon of about 58° which is its maximum height over the year.
The UV index then increases to values of about 7 up to 8.
At special atmospheric conditions UVI values can even be higher.
The time until reaching the sunburn threshold can be less than 15 minutes for people with light skin.
